I love the Dee Valley and the riverside town of Llangollen, so I was extremely excited to send Ellie & Tom the confirmation that I had their wedding date available.
As the wedding was in this stunning area, we decided a fantastic location for a pre wedding shoot would be Castell Dinas Bran. If you’re visiting this incredible Valley, you can’t miss Castell Dinas Bran overlooking Llangollen and the River Dee winding its way through towards Wrexham and then Chester before reaching the Sea.
Tower Hill Barns has been very well planned and in my opinion is a perfect venue, especially on a nice warm day when you could have your ceremony outdoors under the beautiful stone bridge surrounded by lush, Welsh green hills.
We used the beautiful location of the stone bridge for Ellie & Tom’s couple shots, this is where the preparation of the pre wedding shoot came in handy. Ellie & Tom had practiced everything and were super confident and comfortable, making these wedding day images easy to capture and looking natural and relaxed. Made even better by the dramatic and atmospheric Welsh sky behind.
Always take advantage of a pre wedding shoot if you can….
The wedding breakfast was served in the absolutely stunning rustic Barn with open ceilings and timber trusses, large windows ensured plenty of light floods into the room. What a venue and what a couple!!!

“Matt was an amazing photographer. We cannot recommend him enough. Efficient, fun and incredible photos.
Me and my partner are not very confident/comfortable at having our photographs taken but Matt made us feel completely at ease. Got lovely candid, natural photos which was perfect for us as we are not great at posing.
He was brilliant on the day. We didn’t want to spend loads of time having our private and group photos so Matt was super efficient and good at organising ourselves and our big families. We had so many compliments from our guests about Matt. Made all our guests feel at ease.
The photos are better than we could have ever imagined. Very quick at getting them to us. We have so many amazing ones to choose from. He has managed to capture the atmosphere on the day.
Finally, incredible value for money. We had the full day package and would highly recommend it!
